March Sketch +3 from Scrap Our Stash -Let it Snow!

I don't know about you, but I am SERIOUSLY LOVIN' this "NEW" Sketch PLUS 3 Challenge from Scrap Our Stash!  The added "3" items really help me to search through and use up some of my "STASH!"  I am finding things I didn't remember I had!!
HERE is the March Sketch +3

This month's sketch has lots of layers and a great opportunity to "go big"
or "go simple" - it is all up to YOU!

Here is my take on March's Sketch +3

These are our 2 Silly Portuguese Water Dogs, Maggie and Valentino.  They LOVE the snow - I guess they just love water in any form!!  These photos were from our February 2016  "Blizzard!"
They really had "Snow Much Fun!"  I love this "Snow Patrol" collection from Simple Stories. I think it worked perfectly with the photos.
For my PLUS 3 I chose:
G- Graph Paper
H - Hearts
I - Ink and Ivory (base page)

I hope you will play along with us at SCRAP OUR STASH this month - give it a try and get a little "scrappy" with it!

Here are some close ups:
For the circle behind the photos, I took a grouping of chipboard circles that I painted with white pearl paint, and dabbed with Teal High Heal Glimmer Mist.  The "Let it Snow" title is a sticker from the Snow Patrol collection, that I matted onto a piece of green cardstock, and then inked around it with a little sponge applicator and Forest Moss Distress Stain.

Here is a close up of some of the layers and other stickers that I matted on cardstock.  I also distressed the edges of some of the papers as well.  The "BRRRR" tag with the different fibers as a pull, is where I will add some jounaling. It slips into a pocket I made under the paper and photos.

I thought the "Dashing through the snow" sticker worked perfectly by this photo of Tino and Maggie having fun!  I couldn't resist adding my favorite little snowman Olaf either!

Here you can see a close up of where I splattered the Teal High Heal Glimmer Mist on the Ivory base page, along with one of the wooden snowflakes that I painted and some bling!

THANKS for stopping by! Please take a minute to check out the Challenge, Rules and PRIZE INFO, over at the SCRAP OUR STASH BLOG - and consider playing along with us!!

March Challenge YOUrself = Chevron FUN!

One of the things I love about a "non-sketch" challenge - is the freedom to use any size photo or photos on you layout.   I have a lot of large 8 x 10 photos from our Disney cruises, and this month's "CHEVRON" challenge from the Challenge YOUrself  Blog is a perfect way to use one of these photos!

March's challenge is to Create a layout using anything with a Chevron Pattern - and of course, you need to include YOU in the photo!!

Here is one of my favorite photos from our June 2015 Disney Wonder Alaska Cruise, as we boarded the ship in Vancouver, Canada.  We were blessed to have been able to take this beautiful and memorable cruise with my sons and parents. This was our first Alaskan Cruise
- and hopefully will not be our last!

Here are a few close ups for you:

I think this MICKEY pin makes a great embellishment for this layout, and I LOVE the whale and anchor Washi Tape!

I used 3D Foam tape to adhere the photo to the Chevron base page, and also used it to make a pocket in the top right corner, to hold a tag that I journaled on, about our trip.  I also added strips of Washi Tape to that corner, to balance the Washi on the bottom left.

Here you can see the various Washi tapes I used - some Chevron, and some not!!

Finally here is the cute title - I added the camera and Mickey button and some dew drops too!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you will take some time for you - and play along with us this month at the Challenge YOUrself Blog!

Black Bazzill Cardstock
Simple Stories - The Story of Us - Silver Chevron
Jolee's Canada Sticker
